The Man With The Iron Fists Soundtrack

So, as some of you already know, I've lost my freakin' mind over The Man With The Iron Fists...DESPITE the critics' apparent dislike of the movie.

Because, y'know, most people go to a martial arts movie expecting freakin' Hamlet.

Suffice it to say, I'm gonna give my two cents beyond "WATCH" in a later installment of Netflix This: Hot and Current.  In the meantime, care to enjoy some RZA wit' meh?

The Wu-Tang Clan / Kool G Rap - Rivers of Blood

And I DEFINITELY saved the best for last….

The Black Keys featuring RZA - The Baddest Man Alive

And how about a bonus track~?

BLACK KEYS ft RZA & Pharaohe Monch Dollars Sense

Now, you didn’t hear it from ME…but SOMEONE has an entire playlist up where you can hear everything~!  Why dontcha check it out starting here:

And hey, if you LIKE the album, freakin’ drop a ten-spot on it at yer local Best Buy, y’heard?  Try before you buy only works if you BUY. :3  Let’s show the industry they don’t know shit. <3

For the most part, I went into the movie expecting Afro Samurai-level goodness...and I got it. :D

12/29/13  UPDATE - So, funny story.  I figured I should redesign the blogs since, y'know, some of the pages weren't workin'.

Then it dawned on me that it's probably just 'cuz Blogger has changed somethin' and I can't post more than three videos or so.  Hell, with the way Youtube is goin', who knows how strange thing's'll get. :3

Be seein' you guys in 2014~!

Just An Eclectic Mix of Awesome

Man, have I been in a weird mood as of late.  Mostly Epic Lloyd's "Pawn" and that "Poetaster and the Singing Dolls" songs have been on my list, but also Epic Rap Battles of History, both "Frank Sinatra Versus Freddy Mercury" and "Dr. Seuss versus William Shakespeare."

I dunno why.

Anyway, let's pop up some of the OTHER songs I've been really into as of late, yeah?

Deep Cotton - We're Far Enough From Heaven Now We Can Freak Out

Racer X - Technical Difficulties

Cusco - Kokopelli's Dream

Trance Atlantic Air Waves - okay, a quick note.  TAAW was a side project of Enigma, and I don't even know how many albums they put out.  I heard TAAW's "The Energy of Sound" back when I was, like...19?  20?  Yeah, roughly around the age of 17 or 18 (the album came out in 1998, so there), and I fuckin' fell in love with this album.  ESPECIALLY Crockett's Theme and Axel F.

TAAW - Axel F

The Smile On My Face (Formulah)

Basement Jaxx - Hot and Cold

Yeah...can you tell what mood I've been in lately?  'Cuz I can't.  That's not even countin' the metal I've been listenin' to...I mean, I dunno.

Bah, whatever.

Fantarding About A Youtuber

Y'know, I blame Ace ( for this.

So the past week or so, I keep gettin' into stuff that I've been puttin' off for, like, a year.  Movies, songs, stuff like that.

It BEGAN, though, with EpicLLOYDs' "Pawn."

Ho.  Lee.  Shit.

Fuckin' AWESOME!

So, I reckon that's what this particular episode of Soothe is all about, y'know?  EpicLloyd-based goodness.

Dis Raps for Hire - Episode 6

Epic Rap Battles of History - Steve Jobs versus Bill Gates

Epic Rap Battles of History - Mario Bros versus Wright Bros

Pawn (I just can't stop LISTENING to this freakin' song!)

What can I say, the brotha's fuckin' good~!

Stuff I've Been Into Lately

Stuff I've Been Into Lately Yeaaaaap. Mass media may suck and is an awesome tool to control and confuse the masses with, but every now and then you get a real gem amongst the crap. One of those is this awesome song from the Borderlands 2 commercial.

"What Makes A Good Man" by The Heavy, who is just....fuckin' heavy!

THIS is actually a find from Ace (, and it's fuckin' awesooooome. Funny story, Karas part 1 is up over at Netflix. :D But this isn't Netflix, so I ain't gonna talk about it, lol.

"Karas Theme (Remix)" by Afrobeat

For comparison, here's the original Battle Theme of Karas...

Ever since I watched Empire Records last week, this has been STUCK in my freakin' head. Enjoy~!

"A Girl Like You (Never Met A Girl Like You Before)" by Edwyn Collins. If you don't like this song, please never come back to Sooth(e), you both unwanted and unloved.

Oh jesus christ, THAT is a fuckin' song! Someone recently talked to me about Ghost Writer. Y'remember, that old PBS show? With the ghost? And it...well...writes? Well IIIII fuckin' loved that show, and tried to catch it as much as I could Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego. Not the cartoon (though that was fairly excellent too), but the actual game show. God I fuckin' loved that game show. Anyway, RJD2 did that song, apparently. Or he remixed it? Either way, fuckin' awesome.

"Ghostwriter" by RJD2

J'adore cette musique, and so should you. :3 And now for two bonus songs before I head out, yeah? Seein' as to how now I'm TOTALLY in the mood for 'em... First off, jesus christ where HASN'T this song been sampled or used? Dig it.

"Here I Am (Come and Get Me)" by Al Green his-ever-luvin'-self~!

Have I shared this with you guys yet? I don't care. It's "Shake That," one of those AMV-ajiggers those weeaboo kids do nowadays. "Shake That" by...uh....shit, I dunno. Supposedly the Editor is Arczi, I guess that'd who'd the credit go to?

Hope ya found somethin' new~! Hey, if you find a link that doesn't work in the backlog, lemme know sometime, yeah?  Otherwise, hey - y'know yer boy's ALWAYS got stuff for ya~!

Catch ya 'round~!

....p.s. buy my novella The Generalist - Taboo 0: Cliché of Memories at these locations:

Amazong - $2.99
ASIN: B009F7K5U4

 Smashwords - $1.50
 ISBN: 9781301520411

Ask for it by name, seek me out as Thomas Duder, or find the ISBN/ASIN~! They're, like, apparently linked to the book now. :D

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Yeap.  It's happened.  I'm sellin' The Generalist - Taboo 0: Cliché of Memories over at Amazong right the hell now~!  All 44 pages with as complete an editing job as I can muster, a bit more content (to patch up some of the holes I purposefully left in when I posted it here~!), and also with this snazzy cover done by none other than Jade herself over at Jaded Shots (!

So the current edition of Taboo 0 is, well not WONKY, but I'm reformatting it for Smashwords (so you Nook readers and fellow Barnes and Noble whores can snag it up~!) and will be moving the Authors' Notes to the back.  That and a major relevation: it's currently up for $2.99, which is outrageous since I wasn't going to raise the price until Taboo 1 is released~!  It SHOULD be at the wonderfully low price of $1.50, but bah...fucking Amazong is dragging their feet.

Still, I'm as excited as it gets and am more than willin' to spread this around!  Let yer friends know, tell yer folks, scream it to the goddamn hills.

The Man In Black is slingin' dem books.

Retweet mah tweets, repost dem posts, spread that link around!  OR you can search me on Amazon simply by typing in "Thomas Duder" or "Thomas Duder The Generalist" at the Amazong search bar~!

I'd suggest waiting 'til the price drops to $1.50, but hey - if you've already read it here and like what you've read, go ahead and gimme some stars and a review!  If you can't afford the buck fiddy, an honest review and star will help me out tremendously anyway. :D

Buy the e-book as a cheap gift for your loved one!  Hell, buy a Kindle and pre-load it with this puppy before putting it in their stocking stuffer!

Do what you do, mah peoples, and spread it around~!

~Thomas Duder

P.S. - Say, you on the KDP Forums?  I've been recently stomping around over at that unmoderated trolls' paradise and havin' a ball!  There's some genuinely sensitive souls there, and people who genuinely are looking to expand their marketing networks and establish new contacts as well as learning tips and tricks of marketing and self-publishing.

Then there's people like me, and those are the one's I've been jukin' around with. :D

So if yer already there, gimme a holler at "thomasduder" yeah?

Have YOU nodded your head to some good tunes today? What about interesting videos?

Well for once I got 'em both! Rather than allow my insane counterpart over at Man-Flavored Milk do the talkin', I figured I'd deliver on some songs that also had cool videos with 'em.

You ready? 'Cuz I'm ready!

Let's enjoy this~!

Macross Plus - Information High

Shake That! - uhhhh, those guys who also did the stuff for Dance Dance Revolution, lol.

Tally Hall - Bananaman (admittedly, I'm biased - ANYTHING with these guys freakin' rule!)

Nekromantix - Horny in a Hearse

Shabushabu - Honyanku Bushi (OH YEAH, TIME TO TRIP BALLS!)

As always, I've got plenty more to show you sometime, but hey for now that's pretty cool. Next time, I'll be back with even more metal, some other stuff, and well...hell, you'll see~!

That Bastard

P.S. - At some point in time I'm gonna start postin' up some D.J. sound bytes and mixin' playlists together. What do you think? Drop me a line and lemme know. Hell, if you want a sample of my voice just check out the Sound Bytes page or go straight to and hear me out, see if you like what ya hear.

Naw, seriously though, I think I oughta be able to mix up an hour or somethin' of different songs and DJ that shit up. I'll post it over at KAOS though, not here...or maybe both. I dunno, what do YOU think?

Metal, Pure and Simple

No fuckin' around, no themes. Just a bunch of metal for you to listen to. Heavy, power, whatever.

I don't give a fuck where it's from, what language it is, whatever. Sometimes you just wanna listen to something that gets you pumped.

Well, here you go.

Join me in this cesspool of violence, this pit of wrath. Let us mosh, my friends, and let us beat the unholy fuck out of everything and anything that stands in our way.

Because the only way I know HOW to live is to beat every goddamned thing that exists into submission.

Heavy Metal Anthem featuring Graham Bonnet - Gypsy Ways (Win, Lose, or Draw)

Stratavarious - Black Diamond

Dream Evil - Heavy Metal In The Night

Iron Maiden - Die With Your Boots On

Sex Machineguns - Heavy Metal Thunder

Manowar - The Gods Made Heavy Metal

Savatage - Strange Wings

Lacuna Coil - Senzafine

Tristania - Angellore

Twilightning - Gone To The Wall

Gwar - Saddam a Go Go

The worst part about all this? This could technically double as the third The Generalist soundtrack post, y'knowwhatImean?

Hey, when it's's fuckin' time. Get the job done, get paid, repeat. Doesn't matter if it's whuppin' ass on some dude, some demon, or Death itself. Man the fuck up. Knuckle the fuck up. Fuck shit up the fuck up.

So what's comin' up next? The fuck should I know, I just post these as I enjoy 'em.

Heeeeeey, I DO know the perfect song to end today's submission with!

Deam Evil - The 7th Day

Stuff I Used To Listen To In Internets 1.0

Otherwise known as all the crap I used to have on Real Player. LOL, yes I used that hunk of junk before I ever switched to MP3's because of how small the files were in comparison.

Nowadays it's like whatever, but every now and then I realize I had songs back then that aren't inexactly easy to find fact, some of them I can't find whatsoever. For instance, there's this enhanced midi version of Castlevania's Vampire Killer that is ABSOLUTELY. FUCKING. PERFECT. Just the timing, everything in this remix is fucking perfect.

And now I can't find it.

Also Sade's "This Is No Ordinary Love" had a remix that was awesome, but I can't find anywhere anymore...and trust me, I've looked! There are some songs that have translated well over the years, but ultimately there's some songs I'll probably never be able to find again...and some that are possibly lurking on a data c.d. somewhere, moldering in my storage shed.

Or on one of my ten Zip discs. Yeah, you remember that? 10 bucks per 100 MB disc. OHHHHH BOY, I REMEMBER AOL AND THOSE OLD BROWSERS FROM BACK IN THE DAY. COMPUSERVE AND WHAT-NOT.

Man it sucked being poor, but these songs..just every now and then it haunts me, y'know?

So, let's see what I can find...either the actual songs, or translations thereof that is close.

Castlevania - Vampire Killer (this heavy metal remix by Ultracomicon is the closest that I can find to the mix I was speakin' of. Seriously, it even has the pause before the overreaching on it's own it's just fuckin' awesome! Not as good, musically speakin', as the original version I speak of...but man, is this is a great cover!)

And while we're on Castlevania remixes I used to listen to back in Internets 1.0...

Castlevania - Bloody Tears (Heavy Version)

DIG that fucking coda, man!!!

Sade - This Is No Ordinary Love (out of all the remixes I've listened to currently up on Youtube, this is the closest to the one I'm thinkin' of...and it's damn near nothing like it. Erg. Still, good remix is good, so enjoy~!)

Jim's Big Ego - Addicted To Stress

Face to Face - Won't Lie Down

Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag

Lost Prophets - Shinobi Versus Dragon Ninja

Mindless Self Indulgence - Bitches (y'know, THAT Pokemon/Dancing Pikachu AMV)

Cowboy Bebop - Tank! (you have NO idea how big of a weeaboo I was back then...but Cowboy Bebop and pretty much EVERYTHING on Toonami was godly, y'knowwhatImean? Undeniable. Truth.)

And just because, music from two of my fave games from that era. Man, do you guys remember Sierra's adult brand of games? 'Cuz I remember Sierra's adult brand of games, and I ain't talkin' 'bout Leisure Suit Larry or that weird labyrinthine RPG with Elvira.

No, I'm talkin' about Phantasmagoria (the first one, not the second which was fail in comparison), The 7th Guest, and Gabriel Knight.

Oh hell yes.

Phantasmagoria - Consumite Furore

The 7th Guest - Skeletons in my Closet

Well, there's plenty other songs that I COULD post but that'll do for now, y'know? Next time, be on the lookout for a healthy dose of rage-inducing hard rock and straight-up, no bull heavy metal.

'Cuz I'm kinda in the mood for some hard rock and straight-up, no bull heavy metal.

See ya then!

~That Bastard

P.S. - Holy shit, how many of my posts have Jim's Big Ego in it? That's not even spelled properly, it should be Jims'. Anyway, I've really gotta make sure I'm not recycling songs TOO much here at Sooth(e)...>XD

LOL I stole this from Vorel. :D

Actually, I am flat-out stealing this from Vorel Kethend ( who has been hangin' out doin' projects with our collective group for a small while now. Thoughtful and creative, she's definitely got an eye for design and art, and lately has been flexin' her muscle on music as well.

She's posted three songs for the Bone King's Daughter (which you can read more 'bout over at her site, my version of it over at Nerf All The Things, or at the recently opened Jaded Shots:, an upcoming shoot we're both involved in, and I figured "Hey, why the hell not? They're pretty fuckin' good, and go with the photo shot, so...yeah!"

So here ya go. Go ahead and let Vee know that I stole these from her if you decide to go over and check out her blog. :D A new background each month, lol...

Loreena McKennitt - The Old Ways

Loreena McKennitt - Dante's Prayer

Loreena McKennitt - All Soul's Night

Yeah, all dat pagan, all dem chill songs.

Be on the lookout for the first Bone King's Daughter photo shoot comin' out soon once we get the photos agreed upon and dealt with and, some time after that, Bone King's Daughter II: Adversaries of the Grave. Naturally, since it stars not just one but BOTH of the Hooligans (Ace will be in the sequel, and possibly a good friend o' Vee's), we'll steal the pics and slap 'em up, narration and opening sound bytes and all, over at Nerf once they get done!

LOL, I'm a model. LOL, we're models.

The Generalist post, part dos~!

Find the first part here:

So yeah, here I am trying my damndest not to re-use certain songs that are "Hooligans" mainstays (pretty much anything by Iron Maiden, Dio, Symphony X, the RZA, Wu-Tang Clan, Dream Evil, Savatage, and...well the range is broad and covers many years of musical interest), but the one I simply cannot stay away from for The Generalist is here.

And that one is Thunderstone - Let The Demons Free, which is...well, MADE for The Generalist.  Especially once I get around Taboo 2, it'll make more sense to y'all.

Cocteau Twins- Alice (because we need more freakish parts in this urban fantasy series.)

The Sword - How Heavy This Axe (a.k.a. - the song that plays when Frank ramps up the Overdrive and enters "Time Stop."  See Battle at Bowerstone to really get the feel of what I mean.)

Clutch - The Regulator (because The Shop itself is badassed and ran by badasses.)

Conquest of Steel - Only The Devil Can Stop Us Now (Pretty much sums up the King of Angels right there.)

Xilent - Choose Me II (because the Goddess Bath is fuckin' hot.)

Dimestore Hoods - Blood In My Eyes (Fight scene music.)

Sikth - Scent of the Obscene (Fight scene music dos, especially if they pull off combinations.)

Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing (Because the Boys of The Shop are just like that from time to time.)

Trio - Da Da Da (this and Girl from'd be surprised at how many moments the boys of The Shop have when this pops up and something funny happens that usually results in a smirk from Dash or a weird look from Frank)

If I come up with any other songs that put me in the mood for The Generalist, I'll let y'all know. :D

The Generalist post (part 1)

Yeap, I'm here to once again cross-post on my own blogs. :D    In writing The Generalist, there's certain songs that I, as always, associate with the stuff I'm writin'.

Some of them you've heard from here before (The Iron Maiden post, for instance), but ultimately these are the songs I've been listening to while writing stuff and just hanging out.  There's also a grab bag of other things, but meh - that's for the next post!

Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man (Radio Edit)

Jim's Big Ego - Addicted to Stress

Fade ft. DWB - One reason (the full intro to Deadman Wonderland, which I have yet to see or read but ohhhh baby, this song!)

Clutch - Guild of Mute Assassins

Guano Apes - Innocent Greed

A whole buncha vocaloids - Poetaster and the Singing Dolls

Dope - Die Motherfucker Die

Hercules and Love Affair - Painted Eyes

Hercules and Love Affair - Shadows

Dio - Evil Eyes

Dio - Holy Diver

Castlevania - Vampire Killer Rock Cover

Bubblegum Octopus - Great Beard; Happy Moustache

To be continued with the next post, yeah?

No matter if it's Danzig era or Graves era, or the Jimmy Only-led Project 1950's, the Misfits have carved their mark on the nature of music itself, both punk and in general.

Seriously.  I'm not even going to say if I'm pro-Danzig or pro-Graves, I'm just going to say shut the fuck up and listen to some good goddamned music.

And I'm gonna start it off with the first Misfits song I ever heard. <3

The Misfits - Die Die Die My Darling

The Misfits - Last Caress

The Misfits - Scream

The Misfits - Dig Up Her Bones

Funny story: Glen Danzig got his ass OHKO'd (one-hit knocked-out) by a fat roadie with some arm muscle.  Yeap.  If'n yer gonna be a badass, don't let your first attack be a simple push, all you're going to do is invite someone to take the first swing at you.

Remember kids, if you're going to fight, fucking FIGHT.

With that stated, I still dig his music and he's the reason why I want to wear plate mail on stage, or simply add greaves and gauntlets to my daily repertoire.

Danzig - Mother

Danzig - Devil's Plaything

Danzig - Twist of Cain

Hey, speakin' 'bout that Project 1950 album...

The Misfits - Runaway

The Misfits - You Belong To Me

...woah, had a Man-Flavored Milk moment there~!  Well, hope you enjoyed this post, got more to come soon enough, in between my other projects.

Admittedly though, I'm feelin' like I oughta start up on Taboo 1 already for The Generalist, lol.

The Ace Post!

Well well well, welcome back to another edition of Sooth(e) Your Freaking Beast!

This time, nothin' major...just a mixed bag of Ace, y'knowwhatImean?

Time to get this ear worm in your head.  It's been floatin' 'round the house as of late, thanks to the Ace, y'knowwhatImean?

Ya bastard.

Snickers - Song of Satisfaction

Now, this is another Ace-inspired song since we were JUST talkin' 'bout it~!  You haven't heard it?  Well dig this~!!

Legend of Dragoon - If You Believe

Continuing with the theme of Ace-inspired songs, here's somethin' from the sweet, sweet fightin' game past~!

Bloody Roar - Defenders of Legacy

Cake - Going The Distance

And now, to properly cap this puppy off.  There's more than a few songs that have inspired Ace or are simply reminders to me of my bro, and there's nothin' that reminds me more of him than Three Doors Down.  Like, all of it.  He's drawn up and written more stuff to these guys than...well, hell, I'd say about as much as I have with Iron Maiden.

Check it~!

Three Doors Down - Kryptonite

Three Doors Down - Duck and Run

Three Doors Down - Going Down In Flames

I wanna thank Ace for helpin' to compile this particular Sooth(e), especially when I noticed two of the "grab bag" songs I WAS going to post up instead of this were both directly influenced by his bringin' 'em up, y'know?

Hey, let's do a little advertisin', eh?  Check Ace himself over at Danger Combo 2012 (, or you can catch his upcoming SR2 - The Salty Runback Review, or alongside yours truly as The Hooligans over at KAOS: Chaos Party Radio (, y'know?

Also, we're currently doing a HUGE thing for The Hooligans, especially for our move over to Youtube and such.  Help us get 15 or more subscribers so we can actually, y'know, POST these hour-long fuckin' podcasts and such. :D  Season 0 is almost wrapped up, and Season 1 is lookin' excitin' as hell!  Especially since we'll have y'know, VIDEO to go along with the audio!

Otherwise, hit us up over anywhere 'round these parts:

Twitter: @NerfAllTheThing
Podomatic: /TheHooligans
Youtube: /TheDamnHooligans

~That Bastard

P.S. - Ace just freaked out on meh about Iron Maiden's The Wicker Man (the radio edit, naturally).  While I had to point out to the bro that I've already covered that (my Iron Maiden Extravaganza, rememberrrrr?), but for the sake of simply good fuckin' music, here ya go!

Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man (Radio Edit)

For further cross-platform multiversing, this is the ipso-facto theme song for The Generalist, which I'm going to be posting Taboo 0: Cliche of Memories (parts 1-5) over at The Pen Is My Sword.

Closing down to ghost properly. If you don't catch me around the usual places (chat rooms, here at the blogosphere, faecbawks, twitter/twitlonger, etc) then it's because I haven't regained communications yet.

Don't worry though~! I still got plenty of stuff for you guys once I get back - the usual bevvy of song lyrics and poetry and even some actual, GASP, writing~!! Like stories and shit.

Also, collabs. Fo shizzle, my nizzle - don't wanna give it away or nothin', but apparently there's a coupla projects that might star yours truly in it. In the very least, I'll be involved. Hopefully I won't be the towel boy or fluffer again - I should be able to at least headline my own video, y'know?!

In all honesty, sometimes I really wish I accepted the porn job over at Vivid Video. At least I'd be having more fun, yah?

In the meantime, get caught up with my other blogs, or just stalk me on the usual social media bullshit, yeah? Hey, I'm good all over!

Get ready for the nineties post JUST KIDDING IT'S VOCALOIDS METAL TIME!

Y'know, it can get hard sometimes to decide what the fuck I'm gonna post on Sooth(e) Your Freaking Beast at times. I mean, I DO have an eclectic range of genres I listen to (that, strangely, don't conflict at all - at least in my eyes they don't), and plenty of esoteric shit to share.

I've come to the conclusion that they're not ALL that completely esoteric though - I follow a couple of music blogs that do nothing but explicitly underground, internet only, soundcloud only type bands, albums, and personalities...and it really humbles my own attempts, y'knowwhatImean?

WIth that stated, I didn't set out to make this blog to become I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST BLOGGER THAT NO ONE EVER WAAAS or whatever have you. As is, if I did then Iron Maiden would be my Shiny Pikachu that I'd never evolve and defeat gods with.

...the fuck was I talkin' about?

Anyway, I've got two post ideas to do, but I'm going with a third. No, this isn't the metal post (though I DO need to do one - my metal itch needs satisfyin'), and no this isn't the nineties post (again, itch that needs to be scratched).

Rather, this is all about the Vocaloid music I've been listening to as of late. Hell, once again they've inspired me to write yet another song about sadomasochistic relationships.

Yeah, weird huh?

Anyway, on to the show!

Firstus, let's get the non-metal ones out the way...'cuz they're just good.

Pitiful Pet Boy - Len Kagamine (I think I've posted this before. Don't care.)

Dat. Chorus. And dat everything while we're at it, hnnnngrasm.

Keepin' up the perv train, let's check out Len Kagamine's version of PON PON PON, the only version of it I like.

Paradichlorobenzene x Anti-chlorobenzene - Len and Rin Kagamine AIN'T THAT A BITCH? They'll let you download the mashup song but won't let you embed? Huh. - check it out here.

Miku Hatsune - Love is War

Like any other fanfag, Love is War is amongst the first Miku/Vocaloid songs I heard and kinda sorta got me into it. Now I'm not like SOME fans that are "ALL VOCALOIDS ALL THE TIME!" especially since I see them as the start of both the whole Sharon Apple thing and the whole Skynet thing as well. On the other hand, it was only this recent week that I saw this video and I gotta admit that I've done some of those same kind of rockn' out motions while singing.

Perhaps it's a universal thing for vocalists? I just like stomping.

And now, time for something with a bit more rock behind it, yeah?

Miku Hatsune and Gumi - Matryoshka

Dig that beat, man, dig that riff. Not to mention I like the art style, all Gainax wit' it (y'know, outside of the jiggle physics where an entire tech team has to establish code and designwork for each breast), like FLCL and Dead Leaves-esque-ness.

Time to get to the good hurt.

Miku Zatsune and Miku Hatsune - Sweet So Sweet

In after "IT'S HAGANE MIKU YOU ASSHOLE" I don't give a fuck you weeaboo trash.

While I liked vocaloids enough, it was Zatsune's Sweet So Sweet that really made me just up and realize "Holy shit! You can do that with these things?!" and gave me the idea of using a vocaloid of my own voice when it comes time for the Corporate Machine to have a voice of its' own, all E.L.P. style. I mean, it's one thing to do the usual pop shit, but then suddenly THIS?

My god, dem riffs.

Miku Hagane - Marionette

Miku Hagane - Diarrhea

Now, Sweet So Sweet is DEFINITELY one of my vocaloid metal faves, but recently THIS 'un's been up there with it.

Kaito, Len, Luka, Miku (Hagane AND Hatsune I think), possibly Gakupo..just a whole fucking bunch of 'em really - Poetaster and Singing Dolls

Funny story, a poetaster is the word for an inferior poem.

Honestly it's the vocal layering and arrangements, just HNNNNNGRASM. I haven't been this turned on and pumped up at the same time for a looooong time.

I'm certain there's more titles and such, but for now this'll do, yeah? Quite a bit here to chew on anyway!

Next week, we'll see - it'll be either humans doing metal or humans from the nineties doing stuff.

In the meantime, care for a final vid from the Vocaloid mass?

Some new stuff for you and for me~!

Y'know, I like to think that I bring a strange mixture of awesome to your daily internets. Though I'm staunchly a metalhead, I find that being open to all kinds of new music can broaden not only one's musical tastes but also their mentality, y'know?

One who can wield a flexible mind as well as a flexible body is one who is prepared for all forms of onslaught and invasion.

For me, it always starts with the music that I learn to love, or love at first hearin'. Care to share some with me?

I gotta give much love to LuDubs, that glorious bastard, for introducing OTHER forms for Dubstep to me. While I hate most wubstep (oh god, he's got this one over at his site that is pure fucking crunchy. Check the featured links over at That Bastard On, he's on there), he's found some stuff that is borderline electronica/experimental that I just fell in fucking love with.

This song is DEFINITELY top of the list~!

Xilent - Choose Me II (High Quality version)

Seriously, that is just fuckin' BEAUTIFUL!

Fun factoid: I'm kinda-sorta into Vocaloids. I like the idea of a computer being able to sing ever since Macross Plus, and apparently they've practically gone full-blown Sharon Apple with 'em.

Now, up until recently I've only ever really listened to Miku Hatsune or Zatsune/Hagane. Or however you spell that, I don't care enough to googles it up.

Anyway, then I came across this gem from someone close to me. Ugh, ya know me too well, darlin'.

Len Kagamine (the male one of the twins), lookin' downright penetratable and singing his heart out in what has to be the most haunting chorus I've ever heard.

Len Kagamine - Pitiful Pet Boy

Now, speakin' about beloved new friends, one in particular just sent me spiraling headfirst into nostalgialand. I mean, this song came out when I was friggin' 12~! Haven't even thought about this song since I was, like, 25 or some

Suzanne Vega - Blood Makes Noise

Great, now I'm in the mood for awesome songstresses. Screw something new, let's just post ooooone more goodie you oughta know 'bout. Have I posted this before?

I don't care, it's fuckin' good. :3

Souixsee and the Banshees - Peek A Boo

Yeah, I'm gonna do a Souixsee and the Banshees blowout sometime. I GOTTA!

So, back to new shit I've recently checked out. Now, mind you, it's not like new as in "JUST CAME OUT" but shit I haven't really listened to before, y'know?

With that said, I recently came across Phantogram's "When I'm Small," I don't even remember whose blog I found it on. But yeah, 's some good shit, mang! I mean, to be honest I should actually hate these guys - the background hooting she does would be annoying on any other track, and the dude looks like hipster garbage.

BUT, instead I found this track to be just charming and keepable. Meh.

Phantogram - When I'm Small

...y'know, I don't like talking about my ex. There was a couple of songs that I associated with her.

At least I can FINALLY listen to this song (more hipster-emo garbage) without wanting to either break down or break something/someone. While I hate Owl City's entire discography, for some reason this song always struck me as being both beautiful, romantic, and just...deep.

Still hate the rest of their discography though.

Owl City - Saltwater Room

And last but not least, it's not inexactly NEW for me, but I rarely get an opportunity to post it up anywhere, so might as well do it here, yeah?

Hey, maybe they're new for you! If so, grats and enjoy~!

Rasputina - The New Zero (some AMV someone made of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. Actually works like a charm!)

Yeap, there's a few possibly new-ish songs for ya to check out! Next post, expect me to regain some of my hardcore street cred by posting up angry, angry heavy metal. fuckin' excuses, no explanations.

Just music you can get really angry to.

The Last Dragon Blowout

Hey hey there, guys! So, I know I haven't done a blowout in a little bitta I figured, why the fuck not focus on one of the movies I freaked out about recently.

I'm talking about the excellent fucking soundtrack from The Last Dragon~!

The Glow - Willie Hutch

C'mon, you don't recognize that? It's one of the greatest fucking song from that movie, and easily the lynchpin of it considering it's all about the Glow itself, what Leroy Green seeks throughout the movie. Proof of true mastery of martial arts, and (I can unashamedly admit) something I thought was real as a kid. It's still kinda somewhere there within me, that although it's just a special effect and a plot device that hey...maybe a true master of the martial arts really CAN produce a fighting energy of sorts. I'm fairly certain that anyone who's even put in a little time in any form of fight training can understand what I'm talking about...or maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

Anyway, this song is DEFINITELY just the spine of the soundtrack, but there is SO MUCH GOOD in this soundtrack! Great Motown hits, inspired music all of it...well, check it out~!

Journey Into The Glow - Dwight David (battle/opening version of The Glow)

Inside You - Willie Hutch (apparently Hutch did some of the most memorable songs in the movie. This one's a HUGE one for me, y'knowwhatImean?)

Fire - Charlene (less a Motown song and more to show Eddy Arkadian's taste in music during his takeover of Seventh Heaven. Lol arcade owning gangsters. Lol Seventh Heaven cheese sequences)

First Time On A Ferris Wheel - Smokey Robinson and Syreeta

Treat Her Like A Lady - The Tempations (FUCK YEAH THE TEMPTATIONS!)

And, naturally, I saved the BEST part to close this post out with~! I'm talking about the unarguably best fucking song on the entire soundtrack...

The Last Dragon (Main Theme) - Dwight David

Yeah, sure the Opening/Battle version of Journey Into The Glow is freakin' AWESOME...but there's something about the clean rendition of it that sticks to me. Good shit either way.

'Til next time, kiddies! I still gotta post up the second batch of stuff I watched CONSTANTLY AND DAILY when I was sick, lol.

The OTHER sick post~!

This would be the second half of what I listened to every fucking day. Prepare to get your daily doses, mah nizzles.

Now, some of you may remember that I'm a HUGE fan of Detroit Metal City. Gotta dig DMC like a motherfucker, yo. WIth that stated, apparently there was a Tribute to Lord Krauser the Second album, with a bunch of metal remixes of Japanese rock and pop songs.

Out of 'em all, and the one I DEFINITELY love above even the original version is Monobright's "Warp."

I can't even begin to share with you guys the images that go through my head when I hear this song. Just if I was given a chance to produce a music video to this, it'd be one shade away from being the Meds video (by Placebo).

Speakin' of which...guyliner warning ahead.

Y'know, I rarely like rap. I don't do drugs, never even experimented with the shit.

Yet I find myself listening to this daily.

The Doctor's got that green and purple in an extra strength dose, just what you need.

Speakin' about your daily dose, Parov Stelar - Catgroove (High Quality nonetheless~!)

Yes. You need this.

My GOD that shit is bumpin'!

And the last two vids I think I've posted before...but hey, whatever. This is the shit I've been listening to on a daily basis while I was coughing myself sick.

What's even worse, is that this next one is basically my theme song whenever I'm in Shitty Chat. I just AM a manwhore of some renown.

Quest of the Manwhore

The Great Chimp Heist

Hope you enjoyed this Sooth(e) Your Freaking Beast post~! As always you know DAMN well I'm gonna bring the blue sparkles, yo.

See ya next time!

~That Bastard

P.S. - I lied. One more video I watched every day while I'm sick.

Protoment - Light Up The Night

>all of them.

The Hells Yes Chill Post....

This entire post is Bonafide Jones' fault. He got me all up in the mood for Mos Def without even realizing it and while Mos Def DOES have some rocking beats, I've always been more of a fan of his chill shit and amazing collaborations.

Speakin' of which, this has been nothin' but a chill post for me, so I do hope y'all are ready to take a ride I normally don't drive wit'. We's gonna just hang out, listen to some music and just enjoy the cool blue flow of the energy between us all, y'knowwhatImean?

Hey, trust me. We'll rage together some other time.

Mos Def - Umi Says (Zero 7 Remix) good.

Zero 7 - In The Waiting Line

Don't be scurred, mah peoples. Just gonna kick it up a little bit with some gooooood shiznits.

Groove Armada - Super Stylin'

Let's just keep ridin' that wave, bay-bee-bubba, 'cuz you know DAMN well we still friends.

Just sayin'.

Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass

I don't even know if I've played that here before or not, hell...just seems to fit, y'knowwhatImean?

Now, funny story with this next one...I've got this song from the vast ether of chaos that is the Internuggets, and it's basically a remix of Lyrics Borns' Callin' Out and U2s' Sunday Bloody Sunday. I can't find it on Youtube though, so instead here's the original source that's still fuckin' awesome...I might have to find that .mp3 and post it up simply for you guys sometime.

Lyrics Born - Callin' Out

Oh. Fuck Yeah. Son.

Zero 7 featuring Viktor Vaughn (MUHFUKKEN M.F. DOOM!!) - Somersault

Let's follow that up with a song I think I've had on Sooth(e) before, but's just too damn good not to post it again.

Erykah Badu, the gloriously dark-skinned goddess herself, in an MF Doom remix - On and On

And last but not least, gonna end it out with a certain something for a certain someone. You know who you are, darlin'.

And lastly, some more Kip Hanrahan...

Catch y'all 'round next time, huh? More than likely THAT post will be the "Battleworld" post, with theme songs for each named character posted so y'all can hear it and read it at the same time. Get into my head a little bit with how I design characters and how closely I associate them to the theme song.

Sure I know I'll never be able to afford copyrights for them and have them ACTUALLY be in the game (oh god Oh God OH GOD HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!!!!), but it's completely and totally a personal thing.

the sick post...*coughcough*

So, as some of y'all know from my other blog posts, I'm sicker than a fucking dog right now. Because of this though, unless someone else DJ's over at the shittychat I've just been listening to the same things over and over's weird, I just get really repetitive with my music and stay focused on a few titles until I'm better. That and the loss of taste, and THAT affects me more than it should.

So let's kick this post off with what I've been listening to as of late....

Fuck you Ace, you know what you did.

Magical girls represent. Prepare yourself for the most moeswag you've ever experienced.

Thank you, Based Madoka!

Another awesome Madoka remix, different but still equally awesome...and now that I think about it, I've posted this before.

Don't care. Just enjoy it.

This is the song I think about while I've been writing up Shitty Chat the Fightan. Seriously, especially the part where he screams out "You seek to stand against me?" and the band replies with "I WILL NOT STAND AGAINST YOU!"

Conquest of Steel - The Prophecy

Not even joking, I actually see Spad standing before the PowerSPIKE glowing with a brilliant white light, his arms outstretched, fingers clawed as he opens his heterochromic eyes and growls, "You seek to stand against me?"

Then as the band screams back "I WILL NOT STAND AGAINST YOU!" I see the camera pan around so the PowerSPIKE is still in the lower-center part of the screen, only That Bastard rises up in the background, reaching for it, before the other Shitty Chat Fighters do so, the camera cutting to a side-cut of the various hands reaching out to grasp the SPIKE with Spad angled behind it, his cloak spreading to reveal the Internet Space within it...

lol, I overdo everything I get into. Shit. Thank god the others are there to edit my bullshit down.

Ladies, go get yer boy shorts and chunky-assed weapons-grade rollerskates. Guys, get ready to show off how good yer hips can swivel and piston.

Everyone, get yer disco on.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour - Heart Attack

LOL I heard this over at Timothy Bowen's VJ playlist. Go find him at and tell 'em That Bastard sent ya for 25% more chaos~!

Y'know, some songs can really trip either my Rage Trigger or my Rape Trigger. Not all my raping, though, is violent - sometimes you've just been devoured by me in "Kitty" mode and you didn't even realize it was non-consensual until two days later you realize you've moved into my pad and haven't seen anything else but my cieling for the past two days.

Hey, it happens darlin'. I don't do one-night stands, I do one-week stands if anything...

SO, what is a "Kitty" song you may ask?

Here's the ur-example:

Kip Hanrahan - All Roads Are Made of Flesh

I go fucking apeshit for Kip Hanrahan. Fuck yeah.

I'll make another sick post soon enough. In the meantime, if you wanna waste more of your time happily, they just dropped some fresh new stuff over at:

-Epic Rap Battles of History
-Dan Bull/Douglby
-Epic Meal Time (whup, they're funny again)
-Bro Team Pill

I don't care if it's non-music stuff, I'm sick and will do whatever the hell I want here. I do what I want, you do what yer told.

With that stated, ain't got nothin' but love for y'all.

Time to leave ya with somethin' funny:

Monday, January 30, 2012

Yeap, I'm doin' it here too!

Yeaaaaaap. Have you visited my whoreblog, The Pen Is My Sword? I've got quite a few choice literary pieces over there, including the publicly-released write-ups and poetry that I've done lately and awhile back.

Suffice it to say, it's mah litblog. 'Cuz I honestly believe you guys actually READ my walls of text, and might be willing to sit down and read some of my more meaningful stuff.

Speakin' of which, y'see that link? In case ya don't, check this:

Now, I'm still writin' stuff up. BUUUUUT I've already got the Kraze Armada already completely done for starting values and other nonsuch, and I've begun work on their storyline (as well as suggested map routes). At least canon storyflow (depending on what choices you make) will be written up this way, with the rest added on as I go on.

I know I'm coming at this from the viewpoint of a writer, but that's what I do BEST, y'know? Anyway, I can program myself but I'll eventually come to the Internets, my friends, and you guys - my readers - for help with the artwork and beta-testing and double-checkin' shit.

Until then I want to keep workin' at it and ensurin' that it's at least worth your time to read, y'know? For what it's worth, the Kraze Armada (the "Shotoclone" of the game, not inexactly the main good guys but more than likely the one outside of the Krieg the audience will play first) is already shaping up to be pretty cool. Lord knows if you base it on the characters alone they got more than a couple of my faves, but speakin' as the creator and as biased as I am - yeah, there's a favorite or three of mine in each kingdom, even the Goblinate Forces.

Anyway, this blog post is just to whore out my litblog and also highlight the work I've done on Battleworld thus far. As soon as I can actually afford to go to a restaurant, I shall and, naturally, talk about it first here!

OH, do expect a KAOS: Chaos Party Radio post sometime too! It seems like I DID get mentioned by Da Boys, and they even used some of my material!

Fuckin' AWESOME~!

Last but not least, my attention whore-ism has not been satisfied! Tell your friends, tell yer lovers, tell yer fuckin' PARENTS 'bout me! With 6 blogs and walls of text as big as my freakin' head, you'd think I'd have at least a LITTLE bit of somethin' worth yer time!

Don't worry mah peoples, next installment of Soothe Your Freaking Beast will be allll music, y'know?

In the meantime, hey plenty o' other musics up on the earlier installments! Go find what yer lookin' for, scratch that itch~!

Deelite - Groove Is In The Heart. Why? Because.

Thursday, January 26, 2012

Yeaaaaap, time to indulge.

You were born in the nineties? Oh, so sorry - too bad you weren't born in a, y'know, era where you could actually ENJOY the '90's. For those of you who are simply here to slap on some nostalgia goggles as thick as the entire Encyclopedia Britannica or if you're the kind to wallow in just straight-up good shit, here ya go.

Hipsters not allowed here. We eat the weak here, let's not forget whose blog yer at.

Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, so fucking good!!!!!!

Garbage - Push It

Fuck you if you that shit didn't get yer head bobbin'. Fuck me if I've already posted that in a previous blog post.

Shit, now we need a palate cleanser...

Sponge - Wax Ecstatic (To Sell Angelina)

Meat Puppets - Open Wide

Now for a change of pace. Y'know who I miss? Mystikal...

Still Smokin'

Supposedly Bustah Rhymes got fat. Nigga, you ain't Charles Barkley! You gotta sing us out through the end of the world, brotha...

Nevermind, he did a video last year with a few other peoples. Still, he's gotta come back and flip the game back up.

Gimme Some Mo

And let's close it out with a lil' bit of dat Soundgarden, eh?

Fuck you, Superunknown is one of my favorite fucking albums, especially since they broke up afterwards.

Instead of sighing, let's just enjoy the goodness, eh?

Soundgarden - Burden In My Hand (GASP, inorite, not Black Hole Sun? Fuck you, everyone plays that fucking song, it's like Satisfaction for Rolling Stones only grunge and sexy)

Hope you enjoyed that plunge into the nineties, eh? Not like there isn't a thousand VH1 reruns about that kinda shit, but hey - I plays what I likes, I likes what I plays.

Austrian Death Machine THE POST!

Not even fuckin' around with y'all, this is nothin' but Austrian Death Machine Monday.

Am I going to explain shit? No.

Am I going to bang my head like a acid-induced single-man moshpit?

Fuck yes I am.

Time to piss off my neighbors, and yours.

Austrian Death Machine - I Need Your Clothes, Your Boots, And Your Motorcycle

Austrian Death Machine - Intro + T2 Theme

Austrian Death Machine - Who Told You You Could Eat My Cookies?

Austrian Death Machine - Come On Cohaagen, Give Deez People Ehyar

And I saved the fucking BEST for last, boys and girls!

Austrian Death Machine - cover of Agnostic Front's "Gotta Gotta Go "

Austrian Death Machine - Double Ahnold

Okay, okay, okay NOW I will give an explanation. So I was talkin' to my homeboy (KARSAAAAAA) and somehow I brought up Austrian Death Machine to him and started doing my crappy Ahnold voice "NYAAAAAAAAAAAUUOUGH!" and what-not. Anyway, he mentioned that he had never heard of 'em before and I admitted that while I don't like squeemo death-metal vocals, these guys rock the fuckin' paunch.

I then told him that I'd make this post.

So here we are.

Hope you guys liked it! Next Soothe Your Freaking Beast post will be what I had originally planned, a trip back into time YES YET AGAIN PUT YOUR HAND DOWN KARSA I SEE YOU YOU LITTLE SONUVABITCH, KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS AND I'LL DRIVE THIS BUS RIGHT OFF A FUCKING CLIFF!

'Til next time, kiddies!

BWABWABWA first Soothe music post of 2012~!

So naturally I had to throw this on.

Good way to start the new year, eh?

...alright, alright, here's the shit I was listening to over the Christmas/New Years holiday:

Hercules and Love Affair - Shadows

Hercules and Love Affair - Painted Eyes

Mmmmm, this fucking good. I blame Tracirz ( and her awesome taste in music for turning me onto these bastards. Just...sooooo fuckin' good.

And then you got this little puppy from Guilty Gear X vocal tracks, No Mercy (Sol Badguy Versus Ky Kiske) which is still in my top ten songs to duel with.

I also fell in love with Dan Bull. Just fuckin' period.

And while we're talkin' 'bout Skyrim, here's the greatest fuckin' metal cover of Sons of Skyrim (at least, the first minute or so - the rest could use some fine tuning if'n ya ask me).

I don't know how I came across this song, nor have I seen the show this is based on. I also refuse to tell any of youse guys what I was looking for when I found it.

And now, a non musical send-off because holy fucking shit, catgirls.

Always relevant.
